Definitely "save room" for the blueberry buckle at Owl & Elm. It's made with wild Maine blueberries and a brown sugar sage topping. It's gluten-, dairy- and egg-free, too. They also have a coconut cream pie that we're pretty sure rivals anything Mary Ann made on Gilligan's Island.

Fizzy, low ABV and delicious, get your Bluet in a can. Each can contains more than a pint of wild Maine blueberries, so you'll get your antioxidants and great taste at the same time. It also makes a great mimosa with your favorite juice, or add some lemonade. Find it all over the state or at one of their Thursdays in the Field events this summer.

Help cute dogs and cats (also ferrets, rabbits, rats and more) at the Animal Refuge League this Sunday, June 26 at Ales for Tails, the dog-friendly beer fest that supports the org. Seventeen brewers will pour their wares and there are food trucks like Smokey & Brines and Mr. Tuna on hand too. All funds support the nearly 4,000 pets that depend on their life-saving work each year.
