Living Stream Church of the Brethren

"How Much Unity Can You Handle?"
Romans 14:1-4, John 17:20-23

Join us in worship this coming Sunday as the Church of the Brethren Annual Conference Moderator, David Sollenberger, will be our guest preacher. Dave will explore what the scriptures tell us about one aspect of our denomination that we wrestle with these days, that we as the Church of the Brethren are clearly not of one mind on all issues of faith and practice. Dave's conclusion from the scriptures, however, is that we are nevertheless called to be unified and work together despite those differences.  Playing with the difference between unity and uniformity, Dave's sermon will help us look at the concept of unity, and why that’s important to us as disciples of Jesus.

Worship online with Living Stream Church of the Brethren on Sunday at 5:00 pm Pacific time; 6:00 pm Mountain time; 7:00 pm Central time; and 8:00 pm Eastern time. Or you may access the recorded archives of our worship at www.LivingStreamCoB,org any time that suits your schedule.

"...The opportunity to live and serve in Hiroshima had a great impact on our lives. We are thankful that BVS works to connect people willing to serve “in a little different way” with organizations all over the world needing volunteers to work side by side with amazing people and groups making a difference.

"You may have a heart to do something a little different too. If you decide to do something unusual or go someplace you have never been to, it may, like it did for us, change your life."
—Roger and Kathy Edmark, Unit 319, Volunteer Directors, World Friendship Center, Hiroshima, Japan

Are YouGoing to Omaha?  Lunch is on us!
Living Stream COB has a tradition of inviting anyone from our congregation who is at Annual Conference to meet in person for lunch. This year, we've chosen Tuesday, July 12.  After the close of the morning business session Tuesday (about 11:40am), make your way to the webcast table at the back of the main hall, and we will walk together to a local eatery.  Please join us if you are in town!

Going to Omaha? Join us at the Living Stream booth!
For those who are attending Annual Conference, we'd be glad to have some Living Streamers be at our booth during exhibit hall times (not during business or worship), simply to be able to greet people who stop by the booth, and to answer questions and share about our congregation. If you are able and willing to hang out by our booth for an hour or two, please let us know by writing to tech@LivingStreamCoB.org to let us know!  Thank you!
Annual Conference Business Volunteers Wanted
If you are not a delegate to Annual Conference, but still going to Omaha, please consider being volunteer to help those online be part of the business!  The Annual Conference Office has requested that we arrange for a handful of folks who can stand-ins for virtual participants, taking a question they may have posed in the chat up to the microphone line to share on their behalf.  For more information and/or to volunteer, please write to Pastor Enten at tech@LivingStreamCOB.org.
Commissioning for Annual Conference
As a part of our worship service on July 3 we will be commssioning Daniel Finkbiner, our delegate to Conference and others from Living Stream for service at Annual Conference.

We meet at 5 pm Pacific Time, 6 pm Mountain, 7 pm Central, 8 pm Eastern Time. We keep the meeting short–just a half hour or so. To join us in the Prayer Room, please go to the Living Stream Church of the Brethren website at www.LivingStreamCoB.org. Then simply click on the link to the Living Stream Prayer Room.  (If requested, grant permissions for camera and mic, and choose to connect with computer audio and video to join the Zoom meeting.)
Please note that we will not meet on July 13 because of Annual Conference worship.
