  • The United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) Executive Bureau held a meeting in Seville, Spain. OGP Local spoke during the session “Renewing Democracy from the Bottom Up”, along with mayors and other stakeholders. 

  • Apply for the Climate Democracy Action program by People Powered, World Resources Institute, and FIMA to launch a participatory program for an equitable climate transition. Learn more at the launch event on June 29.

  • OGP Local member Glasgow connected with a mentor in Porto Alegre, Brazil to learn more about participatory democracy. 

  • Curridabat, Costa Rica held an internal meeting with new representatives of the regulatory improvement commission on new draft OGP commitments. 

  • Brazilian Points of Contact from São Paulo, Osasco, and Santa Catarina met for the first time in person to prepare for #OpenGovWeek.

  • The Governor's Office of Sucre, Colombia, held the first co-creation meeting to develop the action plan with civil society organizations.

  • Johana Núñez, the prefect of Santo Domingo de Los Tsáchilas, and Isabel Proaño, the  executive director of the Consortium of Provincial Governments of Ecuador (Congope), explain open government at the local level in this podcast
