Race the Wolf 2022
Happy summer solstice!
 The first day of summer brings with it some great events. Start off your week with the Panida Pride Film Festival tonight, June 21. Then, hit up the local Farmers Market on Wed or Sat, June 22 & 25. Follow that up with the POAC 6th Annual Art Party at the Sandpoint Organic Agricultural Center on Friday, June 24. Then it's decision time, and you'll have to pick and choose from three area events: Race the Wolf at Schweitzer Mountain, Garlic Scape Days in Priest River, or the Metaline Falls Bigfoot Festival in Metaline Falls, all on Saturday and Sunday June 25-26. As always, there is Live Music all around town throughout the week!

 The second annual Metaline Falls Bigfoot Festival is this Sat-Sun, June 25-26. There will be talks by Bigfoot researchers from around the world, a free Bigfoot film festival, more than 60 vendors, and fun haps including a 5K run, cornhole tourney, magic show and more. • The heavens: New moon, next Tues. The northern summer solstice began today. This is when the sun is farthest north for the year and begins its six-month return southward. It's officially summer!
• Rising and setting: Sunrise 4:43 a.m., Sunset 8:52 p.m.; 1 minute of daylight gained this week.
 Air quality: Good thru Sat. 
 Lake level: Spring refill is under way; Lake Pend Oreille is currently 2,061.91 feet above sea level, forecast to rise to 2,062.05 feet by next Tues.
 Streamflows: Rains spur runoff; Moyie River currently 2,750 CFS, down from 5,900 CFS last Tues. Priest River currently 7,300 CFS, down from 8,240 CFS last Tues.
• Sandpoint forecast: This week is looking great with nothing by sunshine thru Tues. Some moderate winds are expected Tues thru Thurs. High for the week is Mon at 84, while the low of 46 will hit Thurs evening.
