Pride Parade
Student Pastor Derek and Pastor Allison would like to invite you to walk with us today in the Chicago 2022 Pride Parade. We will be walking with the Chicago Coalition of Welcoming Churches. Following church today, we will take the L down to the parade's starting point. Youth can join us without a parent with a signed permission slip. Once the parade is complete, we will take the L back to Wilmette. Please reach out to Student Pastor Derek with any questions or to ask for a permission slip for your youth. We look forward to celebrating Pride with you!

July Faith & Fellowship Dinners
You are invited to four, $4 Wednesday dinners at St. John’s.  Each Wednesday in July, we will gather at 6:15 pm in The Fellowship Hall for food, fellowship, and conversation.  You are invited to bring any faith topics or questions that interest you for informal conversation.  The menu for July 6 will be Karl's meat loaf, mini roasted potatoes, cold veggies, and dessert.  Please RSVP to the church office by Tuesday, July 5.  Rides available by request.  Feel free to invite your friends and family!

Special Visit to the Bahá’í House of Worship
You are invited to join members of the New Trier Multifaith Alliance for a special visit to the Bahá’í House of Worship on Sunday, July 10, at 12:45 pm.  Gather in the new Welcome Center for refreshments, enjoy the Temple’s 14th Annual Choral Music Festival, see it’s nine beautiful gardens, fountains, and pools, receive a guided tour highlighting the architecture, view a video about the Temple’s origins, and participate in a Q&A session.

Habitat for Humanity
Join with the Habitat team at St. Joan of Arc parish in Evanston to help create homes for families in need.  There are two Saturday work dates remaining:  July 16 and August 6.  Volunteers of all skill levels welcome, 16 years of age and over.  For those under the age of 18, a parent must be part of the crew as well.  If you are interested in joining the work team on any of these dates, email Frank Ziegler at frank.ziegler@gmail.com   If you would like to read some interesting volunteer stories, and see why your participation is so important, visit this link.

Update on Mindy
The St. John’s community has been helping our dear friend, Mindy Davis, who has been struggling with housing and financial issues this past year.  Mindy moved to Ohio a few months ago to be closer to family, and she is moving again at the end of June.  Employment opportunities have not worked out, and she is again in need of assistance.  You can read Mindy’s update in full here, and you are invited to make a donation through her GoFundMe page.
