June Prayer Guide

“But the best reason to pray is that God is really there. In praying, our unbelief gradually starts to melt. God moves smack into the middle of even an ordinary day. He is no longer someone we theorize about. He is someone we want to be near.”  ― Emilie Griffin, Clinging: The Experience Of Prayer

This Friday: Just Between Us Girls

Just Between Us Girls is BACK! Join the women of CPC this Friday, June 24 at 6:45 p.m. for a night out of the house, where we'll share charcuterie-style snacks, wine and other beverages and fantastic conversation. Invite your friends and neighbors to join us as well. And please sign up to bring something to share.

2022 Orlando Union Rescue Mission Back-to-School Event

We are excited to once again support Orlando Union Rescue Mission, a facility for homeless families, with their back-to-school event, scheduled for Saturday, August 6. The annual event provides needed school supplies and clothing to families in residence. You can help by volunteering for the event and/or donating $10 Walmart gift cards to help families purchase shoes. Questions? Contact Cheryal or Reggie Spann for details.

Seminole County School Supply Drive

More than 50% of students in Seminole County, where we worship, participate in the free and reduced meals program. Of this number, more than 1,700 are identified as homeless. Families are struggling to provide the basics (food, clothing, shelter), especially in our current economic environment, so many times their household budgets can't cover things like backpacks and school supplies. Dedicated teachers try to help by spending on average $1,000 of their own money on supplies for their students and classrooms.

We have an opportunity to help fill this need in our community by donating school supplies and other personal items via o The Foundation for SCPS and Tools 4 Seminole Schools. This Sunday through Sunday, August 7, a box will be placed in the entryway where you can drop off donations at your convenience. Questions? Reach out to Stephanie Ilderton.
