Community Capital Summer is in full swing! As a reminder, this is our summer webinar series intended to reground our audience in the principles and strategies of community capital. Our upcoming webinars will help you brainstorm how to bring community capital to your region as well as introduce you to NC3’s educational and technical resources.

Tomorrow:
Community Capital Builders Social

The second webinar of Community Capital Summer is tomorrow (Thursday)! In this webinar, we will:

  1. “Digest” what we learned in Community Capital 101
  2. Review the community capital toolbox and ask questions about the projects highlighted
  3. Meet other people who are starting their own community capital projects
  4. Have a Q&A session with experts in the field about your current or future community capital projects (Note: We can provide general legal information but not specific legal advice during this time)
We will be joined by NC3 Board Members and partners Bill Huston, Brian Beckon, Cameron Rhudy, Chris Miller, and Janice Shade.

ICYMI: The Community Capital Toolbox

In our first webinar, we presented the brand new community capital toolbox. The toolbox is a guide to the many community capital strategies that you can put to work in your own neighborhoods. The toolbox was built for two different audiences: 1) community builders who are ready to develop the local investing ecosystem in their region; 2) businesses and development projects that want to raise capital from their communities.

Check out the toolbox here! You can also watch the Community Capital 101 webinar recording here.

Webinar 3: Resource Showcase

The final webinar in Community Capital Summer will help you bring your plans for a community capital project into reality. We will dive into all of NC3’s online educational offerings, including the Local Investing Resource Center. You will hear from technical assistance providers about how they created these resources and for whom. You will leave with a better understanding of what point in your development process each resource will be most helpful and how to best utilize them.

This webinar will take place on Wednesday, July 20 11am PT/2pm ET.
