SUPPORT THE PARK
Help us make Myat's Fields Park a showcase for local culture, food, heritage and enterprise!  MFPP is applying for funding to empower people of all ages and backgrounds to deliver new and exciting events and activities in the park. We need community backing for our bid - if you want to support us please fill in this short form here today
Blue Plaque for park's architect
Landscape architect for Myatt's Fields Park and Suffragist Gardener, Fanny Rollo Wilkinson, was honoured with a Blue Plaque this month at 235 Shaftesbury Avenue where she worked.
Other horticultural news: look out for a new mown maze in the sunken garden (between the football pitch and roundhouse).

With live folklore music, dance and art workshops from Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia and Chile, Myatt's will host a celebration of the most important Inca festival Inti Raymi (Fiesta Del Sol) on Saturday 25th from 1pm - 6pm. Organised by long time performer at Myatt's, Kausary, the festival welcomes the longer days, planting and harvest to follow.

Compound development
Myatt's Fields Park Project has applied for full planning permission to house shipping containers in the park compound. This raises vital income to support park maintenance, and also houses MFPP event and horticultural equipment. We are planning to add fencing, trellis and planting to screen the area from the park and from neighbours and have installed green roofs on the containers. To comment, go here
