June 2022

Dear Friends, Colleagues and Partners,

June has come for DRM with a lot of activities in the Consortium. We held a rewarding Steering Board meeting in the first half of the month. Consistent activities in the automotive group and the technical committee sub-group are gathering pace. DRM has also contributed to the drafting of a digital broadcasting recommendation for the African Telecommunications Union (ATU) member countries. And DRM has also figured strongly in the specialised press.

One of our national DRM platforms, the German group, held its regular meeting this time in Copenhagen, Denmark. This is because a very successful DRM for FM trial is being conducted and was of interest to the members of the DRM German Platform.

Below you will find a continuation of the shortwave debate with articles published by IEEE and Radio World.

After the launch of DRM video series: episode 5 – Jobs last month, now you can get the full “box” or set of videos on the extra benefits of DRM can be accessed at: videos.drm.org.

If you have already tried our energy calculator, please check you have the latest version and as we have it now available in several languages, get it in the language most suitable to you.

A lot of the key DRM information can now be in your pocket or on one single sheet of paper. So please go to pocket.drm.org and retrieve what interests you.

Finally, please do not forget to join us on LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Flickr. And if you want to join the Consortium, so you are fully involved with our work and have access to more information, please contact projectoffice@drm.org.
