Hello from English4Life in Poland!
We've officially completed our Spring 2022 Term and our 2021-2022 school year. Let's take a look at what God has done!
For the Spring semester, we had the biggest group of students to date with eighteen students to complete the term! Fourteen of them were Ukrainians 🇺🇦,  many of whom were able to come only because of the scholarships that they received as a result of the generous giving of many believers around the world.

We truly want to THANK YOU for your investment in these young peoples' lives. Because of these financial contributions and the thousands of people praying for them around the world, these students were given the opportunity to learn English and study God's Word in a very crucial time of their lives that they are sure never to forget.
One of our Ukrainian students from the Spring term, Nelya, made this great video to share about her experience at English4Life!
We're so grateful for the students and teachers that God provided this school year! We're also so thankful for all the volunteers from the States and Canada who volunteered their time as journal partners, conversation partners, or on English Cafe.

We would never be able to do this ministry without all the volunteers, especially the teachers who come for 2 months at a time to serve with us. Each term we need between 3-5 teachers, and every term, God provides!

Maybe you'd be interested in teaching at English4Life for a term? Teaching at English4Life is more than teaching English. It's about discipleship, building relationships with the students, and seeing God change their lives! Read what some of our students said about their time at English4Life...
What have you learned at E4L?
Going Deeper- WOL Bible Institute
One big reason that it is important to know the English language is to study God's Word. There are many reasons why, but the main one is the lack of resources translated into other European languages.

The number of Polish translations of the Bible is miniscule in comparison to the number of English translations. While there may be hundreds of translations of the Bible in English, in Polish there are only a handful. The same is true of Bible commentaries and Christian books. If someone really wants to study the Bible, they will NEED to know English.

This school year, we have had 5 students come through who are now praying about attending the Word of Life Bible Institute in Hungary (Jakub, Ewa, Diana, Tanya, and Bohdan)! At the Bible Institute, lectures will be in English, and students will put what they've learned during their time at English4Life into practice and get to know God and His Word even deeper.
Please be praying for these students as they pray for God to provide the funds for them to attend the Bible Institute!

How else can I be involved in the ministry of English4Life in Poland?
Here is a list of current opportunities for the2022-2023 school year:

1. Plan a trip to Poland!
There are MANY ways that you can serve with us during a term. The following are the current staffing needs that we have:
English / Bible Teachers, Dean of Men, Dean of Women, Maintenance

Upcoming Term dates:
  • Fall 2022: September 25 - November 18
  • Winter 2023: January 8 - March 10
  • Spring 2023: April 16 - June 9

2. Be a Journal partner/Conversation partner:
If you are interested in getting to personally know one of our students in future terms and are unable to come here yourself, you may enjoy being a journal partner (aka e-mail pen pal) or a conversation partner (video chat with a student 1/week) for a term! Let us know if you'd be interested in hearing more details. Both of these opportunities are GREAT ways to be involved in the ministry from a distance. Let us know if you'd like to help in this way for the upcoming Fall term!

3. Sponsor an E4L student!
With the ongoing war in Ukraine, we know that we will  have a need for scholarships for students in the Fall. For one student to come to E4L, the cost is $900/semester. If the Lord leads you to give financially toward student scholarships, this will enable more people to be a part of this life-changing program.
To give, click the "Make a donation" button at the end of this email and specify "for student scholarships."

4. PRAY!
We would love if you could pray for us about these things:
-Preparations for the Fall and student recruitment during our WOL summer camps
-English Cafe Zgierz meeting July 12th
-For God to supply the staffing and student needs that we have for our upcoming 2022-2023 terms
-For the 5 students who are interested in the Bible Institute

Respond to this e-mail if you have any questions or would like more information about volunteer opportunities with English4Life Poland!
