Let's do this!

A Boulder Democrat recently pointed out, as he was discussing his endorsement of me, that this "is the single most important Senate seat in the country."

Isn't that interesting? What's more interesting is that while they live outside our District, they'd vote for me, the Republican candidate, if they could. Their party's shift over the past five years has left them in what feels like no-man's land.

To win, we need a big Republican turnout plus Unaffiliated and Democrat votes.

We're making progress, but the road is long and expensive, and seems even more so in this season of stagnant wages and inflation.

Does money win elections?

Like many of you reading this, I'm feeling the financial squeeze. Yet campaigns need money. Here's a competitive snapshot:
The competition in January:
$80,000
Our Campaign in January:
$0.00
The competition May 31:
$118,632.94
Our Campaign May 31:
$24,475.74
The competition today:
$128.997.27
Our Campaign today:
$38,104.82
We got a later start the our opposition and are moving in the right direction. In order to get the policies we know need to be at work in Colorado in place, we have to win. And by we, I mean you and me and each other, together. We don't have the war chest that the competition has. We don't have the mega donors they have. Still, we need to raise $100,000 in the next four weeks.

Please chip in TODAY to help us fight to send someone who puts results over politics to the State Senate! (That someone is Matt Solomon.)

This will help us get our literature printed and mailed, it will show the State and National Party that we are supported by our district, and it will set us up for success.

$400 is the max any one person can contribute, but not everyone has $400 to spare right now. But maybe a dollar a day could be found? $30 a month? Maybe $50 a month over the next four months as we approach election day?

That will help us reach the voters we need to turn out or convert. In turn, that will help send common sense to Colorado legislature. There, I will work my tail off to, at a minimum, pause the invasive and expensive (and divisive!) policies that the majority party has rammed through in recent years. With enough momentum, perhaps we can reverse them.

I am humbled and encouraged by all the support we have received. In meeting with voters and supporters across the district, I am now more inspired than ever to to serve SD8 in the State Senate.

Thank you for your contribution and support for this campaign!

What's next?

We will have a Meet & Greet event TODAY! There will be a crew on site taking photos and offering interview opportunities for folks to offer feedback or endorsements. We will have wine to sample and a beautiful landscape to enjoy as we spend an afternoon together at Vines at Vail - located at 4 Eagle Ranch in Wolcott. I hope to see you there.

Want to be part of the team?

Would you or someone you know like to be involved? Would you like to host a meet and greet at you home? Or hand out flyers? Or be an area representative in your home county? Do you have a skill or talent that would benefit the campaign and your community? Please reach out today!

This campaign is a team effort. Send me your response so that we can be on the same page. In order for us to get the Western Slope values represented in the Senate, it will take a team effort. The answers to those simple questions is a first step.

We look forward to having you on the team.

Thank you,
Matt Solomon
