Stay Connected!
Trinity Sunday 12th June 2022 Issue 102

Hello <<First Name>>,

Connections.... don't you love 'em?
Not the type that have wires and plugs, but rather those connections we have with others.
The connections that are nourished, given time to, and that we have a commitment to, mature into relationships.
Seeing the Trinity as the greatest connection we can encounter, how will you nourish, give time to and make a commitment to making it a relationship in your life this week?

Pass this newsletter onto a friend (or stranger!) and encourage others to sign up so they can be connected.

FAITH GATHERINGS

Trinity Sunday
As we stand before the absolute mystery of God, one and three, transcendent and immanent, greater than our hearts and yet closer to us than we are to ourselves, wordless prayer is fitting.

Prayer
God, you have made us and loved us and called us by your name, draw us more deeply into your divine life, that we may glorify you rightly, through your Son, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

PASTORAL AREA NEWS

The Archbishop is inviting each parish community
to begin to reflect on how best to respond
to the situation in which we find ourselves.
The future will not look like the past.

Our challenge – and it is yours and mine – rather than simply reacting to events, is to shape the future in the light of the gospel.
Come to the Table - fill the fourth place at the table in Rublev's Icon. Be active in our Pastoral Area Renewal.

A WEEK OF INTERNATIONAL VISITORS
On the feast of Pentecost, some members of the zoom Night Prayer community met for 6pm Saturday Vigil Mass followed by a cuppa in Kilian House Family Centre to welcome Áine from Slovenia. When night prayer began during Covid times, we had many people join us from different places in Ireland and Europe (Slovenia being one!). Áine, originally from Greystones was "home" on a family visit. It was just lovely us to gather in 3D and meet one another again - from near and far!
We welcomed Ann Stuart and Hannah Vaughan from the Divine Renovation team in Canada and the UK respectively. They were in Ireland this week visiting parishes who were using the Divine Renovation Model. The Divine Renovation Network exists to inspire, connect and create community among a network of parishes intentionally pursuing mission, through the best of leadership principles, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Links were further strengthened between Greystones and Wurzburg in Germany as a delegation from there came to visit and celebrate Mass in St Kilian's Church, Blacklion  last Friday as part of a visit to the many places St. Kilian is associated with in Ireland. The Bishop, Dr. Franz Jung unfortunately contracted Covid and was unable to attend. A lovely liturgy was celebrated by all those who were able to attend, and those not there were remembered in prayer.

New Members of our Christian Community

We welcome all those who are baptised into our Christian community this weekend.

Eddie, Blaze, Ryan, Hunter, Olly, James, Tomás

We pray that the Holy Spirit will guide their families as they introduce them into the joy of the Christian path through life.
Let us pray for their families and friends.

COMMUNITY NOTICES

Our friends in the Greystones Nazarene Community Church are looking for host families for their Christian summer camp volunteers. Can you help out?
Greystones CSSM (Children's Special Service Mission) is part of Scripture Union Ireland and they offer a summer camp appealing to school-going children, and free to attend.
Are you going foreign for your holliers?
If so, why not bring back your loose coins and notes and donate them to "Koins for Kids". Old coins/note found is also welcome! Check behind the couch or in those hidden away shoe boxes - you never know what you will find!
There is a collection box in the Pastoral Area Office for all donations.

"Koins for Kids" is a voluntary charity raising funds for a Pediatric MRI Scanner for the new children's hospital when that is complete.
