Reflecting

After four weeks loving the slow pace of Cape Verde, it has been a bit of a shock being back in the UK. I have hit the ground running and had a number of face to face commitments at schools and conferences too. It has been great to get around the country and see people, but I am shattered after two weeks back. Bring on the half-term break!

Spotlighting

Dates for next year’s REAL programme will be confirmed soon. In the meanwhile check out my newest REAL toolkits exploring Soulful Leadership and Courageous Conversations: Kate Smith and I have both done a blog to share our reflections on the theme of Soulful Leadership.

Collaborating

Collaboration was the theme of my workshops at the Prince Albert Community Trust’s annual conference. The day was a reset of their organisational vision, mission and values and collaboration is one of their guiding principles. It was a great theme to unpack with colleagues from all roles. A highlight of the day was listening to Malala’s dad, Ziauddin Yousafzai, what an inspirational man, father and teacher he is.

Coaching

I have been celebrating with my coaching clients this month as lots have secured promotions, negotiated pay rises and flexible working. A few people I coached years ago have also resurfaced and it is fantastic to be coaching them in their new chapters. It is a pleasure and a privilege to support you all - thank you for allowing me to be a part of your leadership journeys.

Listening

James Coleman and I are really enjoying interviewing pairs from the grassroots DEI world about their journeys. Lots of learning and sharing is taking place to support SCITTs across the country in developing their DEI strategies.
