Alcuni astronomi hanno rivelato i dettagli intricati della regione di formazione stellare 30 Doradus, nota anche come Nebulosa Tarantola, utilizzando nuove osservazioni con ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array). In un'immagine ad alta risoluzione pubblicata oggi dall'ESO (European Southern Observatory o Osservatorio Europeo Australe) che include anche i dati ALMA, vediamo la nebulosa sotto una nuova luce, con sottili e ritorte nubi di gas che ci aiutano a capire come le stelle massicce modellano questa regione.
