Bylaw Amendments

Members present at the recent AGM unanimously adopted a resolution amending the Guild bylaws to add new membership categories.  Once the amendments are in effect, which is anticipated prior to fall class registration, membership categories will consist of adult, honorary, child, casual and special members.  The revised membership categories will provide the Guild with more flexibility in membership requirements for class participation, use of our space for artist presentations, and collaborations with other organizations.

August Felting Class

Andrea Graham is a multi media artist who exhibits, teaches and lectures internationally and is recognized for her technical skill and innovation.  Andrea lives in Kingston, Ontario and is coming to Yellowknife once again to teach wet felting.  Andrea came to Yellowknife to teach in 2014 and anyone who took her class really enjoyed her teaching style.

For this class we will be making bags. The class is scheduled for the weekend of August 27th and 28th with an artist talk on Friday August 26th.  More information to follow in the coming weeks.  Many thanks to the NWT Arts Council for making this workshop possible.

If you are interested in this class please contact Pat Moore at patdixie@hotmail.com. Class registration will be posted to Eventbrite at a later date.
