*Please note this is an outdoor sport and we are at the mercy of the elements.  Trips and locations may change or be cancelled due to bad weather or unsuitable water levels.

Joy Davis Hull International - Volunteers Required


Thanks to Ethan, Steve, Scott, Gareth, Andy and Rupert for the work this weekend to move the Yellow Pontoons and Goals onto the lake.
  • Yellow pontoons cleaned and floating 
  • Goals Clean, Netting Checked and Floating.
  • Scaffold Poles Drilled for easier extraction

The next session will be 18th & 19th June.  There will be water and bank based jobs to do.  If you want to do a water base job don't forget your kit and boat.

Charity Sea Kayak for Ukraine


Two volunteer coaches from Wansbeck Paddle Sports Club based in Ashington, Paul Thompson and Sarah Wootton, are currently kayaking around Ireland with the aim of raising funds to support children and young people whose lives have been devastated by the conflict in Ukraine.

Membership can be paid as usual through the Membership Portal.  You will need club membership to complete for a Club Team, attend Club Trips and borrow club equipment.  ALSO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR MEMBERSHIP TO SAVE ON WEDNESDAY SESSION!

Marathon racing is conducted in divisions; the lower divisions can use any sort of kayak or canoe but higher divisions use specialised marathon boats, long, narrow and very unstable when stationary!

Canoe polo is played by teams of five and the basic aim is for them to pass the ball from player to player, by hand, and score in their opponents’ goal while at the same time defending their own goal.

Slalom competitions take place every weekend throughout the country. Division 4 is suitable for beginners of any age. Slalom helps with the development of speed, boat control and white water skills which can be used in all aspects of canoeing and kayaking.
