About Us

Family Promise of Northern New Castle County has distinct programs, all designed to meet families where they are at, at all stages of homelessness.

We understand that homelessness is a complex problem and that one approach won't fit all.

This is why we have adapted and curated our programs to be as personalized and helpful as possible. To achieve a consistent, impactful success rate that our supporters can be proud of.

What We Do

Program Spotlight

Hospitality Center

Our Hospitality Center seeks to provide all of the items necessary for a homeless family to regroup, refocus, and work towards permanent housing. The Hospitality Center is a unique program in that it takes our unique hospitality-oriented model and merges it with a static shelter site.

The Hospitality Center operates alongside our existing Hospitality Network. Each day, volunteers from new partners – including congregations, civic associations, and corporations – provide meals and hospitality to families in the Hospitality Center.

Combating Poverty

Did you know that in Delaware, the maximum income for a 4-person extremely low-income household is only 38% of the median Delaware household income?

Data released by Housing Alliance Delaware showed that in 2022, the maximum 4-person income for extremely low-income households in Delaware was only $26,200 - compared to the median Delaware Household Income of $68,287.

The imbalance of poverty is severely affecting families in Delaware, and we are actively working towards changing this for every family we serve.

Affordable housing is needed more than ever to help those who may become homeless, and we are here to assist in any way we can. Consider volunteering and joining our efforts by clicking below!
