Band/Orchestra Lessons and Summer Camp
At River Grove, band and orchestra begin in 4th grade! If your student is going into 4th next year, and is interested in the music program, please contact Andrew Dussl: adussl@marineareaschool.org. Also, any 5th and 6th grade students who didn't participate this year are welcome to join! Send Mr. Dussl a note.
Summer Music Lessons:
 Summer Lessons with Andrew Dussl are an option for those who would like to continue honing their newfound instrumental skills or for any new music student who would like to get a jumpstart for the upcoming school year. Lessons will be held once per week for 30 minutes on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays depending on availability. Contact Mr. Dussl for available times at: adussl@marineareaschool.org.
-Starts the week of June 13th and continues through the last week of July.
-Week of July 4th will be off
-Makeups can be rescheduled directly with Mr. Dussl.
-Fee: $25 per lesson
Beginning Band/Orchestra Summer Experience!
Highly recommended for incoming beginning band and orchestra students! This is a great opportunity to gear up for the school year as a new band or orchestra member. Students will learn the basics of their instrument over two weeks in "like-instrument" small groups. Students will play some music games, learn basic playing technique, rhythm, note identification, as well as how to care for and maintain their instrument.
-August 8th through August 18th
-Monday through Thursday.
-One hour time slots for each instrument. Band students during the morning, orchestra students during afternoons (exact schedule depends on participation).
-Fee: $80
