Arboretum Explorer: Can't-miss happenings at your Arboretum

Mid-June 2022

Arbor Evenings Returns

Join us on Thursday and Friday evenings this summer for live music and delicious local beverages! Music starts at 5:30 p.m. on the Baker lawn, and the Green Gardener’s Shed will be open with beer, wine, and soft drinks for sale. If you’re hoping for dinner and a show, pre-order picnics are available from the Bent Creek Bistro.

A few things to know before you go:

Check our website or Facebook page before heading over. ArborEvenings is an outdoor event and is canceled if the forecast is not in our favor. This decision is made by 3:00 p.m. each day and cancellations will be posted to our website and social media pages at that time.

We recommend lawn chairs over blankets for those who wish to hunker down, as the lawn can be a bit wet even on dry days. Standard parking fees apply, but there is no additional charge to attend ArborEvenings.

Invest in YOUR Nature!

“With a garden, there is hope.” ― Grace Firth

From a meditative morning birding walk to a week at Discovery camp identifying critters in Bent Creek, your Arboretum provides an oasis for the community - a place to contemplate what nature means to each one of us.

This spring, we invite you to be a champion for nature and Invest in YOUR Nature. When you Invest in YOUR Nature, not only are you helping to create habitat for pollinators and save wild natural spaces, you’re making your Arboretum a space for renewal for you and your community.

Invest in YOUR Nature with a generous gift before June 30th and your gift will be doubled up to $40,000! Together, we can experience the true growth and renewal of spring.

It's Training Season for Local Cross Country Teams!

As school lets out, school sport training ramps up! Members and visitors may notice increased numbers of runners on Arboretum trails and in the surrounding area.

The Arboretum has policies and expectations in place to help everyone share the trails, which are publicly available on our website.
