WHPCD Toolkit Launch! 

The Worldwide Hospice and Palliative Care Alliance (WHPCA) is pleased to launch the World Hospice and Palliative Care Day (WHPCD) 2022 toolkit. 

World Hospice and Palliative Care Day is an annual unified day of action to celebrate and support hospice and palliative care around the world. 

The WHPCD theme for 2022:

Healing Hearts and Communities

The experience of grief and the need to heal unites humans worldwide. With more than six million deaths worldwide during the COVID-19 pandemic resulting in tremendous strain on healthcare systems and unprecedented grief and suffering for health workers and caregivers. In addition, several conflicts and wars are taking place around the globe, resulting in millions of families and caregivers grieving the deaths of family and friends, experiencing social isolation and property destruction.
 

The Resource Toolkit is now Live!

Feel free to download and start using the resources to promote, create awareness and start planning your campaigns. We will continue to add more resources and translated toolkits in the coming weeks. Please keep checking the resources for updates.  You could also do the following:

• Add your Event.
• Prepare to share stories that will make people laugh, cry and reflect #GoodGrief

Launching Healing Hearts & Communities in your community Webinar 29 June 2022.

We would like to invite you for a free WHPCD 2022 toolkit launch and workshop webinar on 29 June 2022 at 9 AM Eastern Time. We will be unpacking the 2022 theme and sub-themes, rationale, evidence, and key messages. In addition, we will discuss how to plan a communications campaign using the WHPCD toolkit and best practices for success.  We would also like to hear your experiences, success, and challenges in previous campaigns.
