Guided by its Clean Growth Innovation Fund, FortisBC is transforming BC’s energy future and the energy it delivers today and tomorrow. The company is exponentially increasing its supply of renewable and low carbon gases while looking at other ways to reduce emissions safely, affordably and quickly.
These can include production of carbon neutral and low carbon gases such as Renewable Natural Gas, hydrogen, syngas and lignin.
Hydrogen-related technologies
These can include sensing technologies; hydrogen separation technologies; or customer end-use systems and appliances capable of operating on hydrogen.
CO2 and methane emission mitigation
This can include CO2 capture and utilization; bioenergy with CO2 capture and storage; fugitive methane emission detection; and technologies to reduce FortisBC operational emissions.
Innovative technologies
Whether technology systems, building designs or industrial facility designs, these innovative technologies should help customers use their energy more efficiently.
