Please take note of our summer hours beginning Monday, June 20:

SUNDAY: CLOSED
MONDAY: 10:30 - 1:30
TUESDAY: 10:30 - 5:00
WEDNESDAY: 10:30 - 6:00
THURSDAY: 10:30 - 5:00
FRIDAY: 10:30 - 1:30
SATURDAY: 10:30 - 3:00*

*closed Saturday, June 18 in observance of the Juneteenth Holiday.

Check out these things you can do at the Library:

The Chilmark Library of Things is a collection of games, tools, consumer electronics, and more that you can check out with your library card! All items go out for two weeks.
Examples of items currently in our collection:

Birding kit, with binoculars and device to recognize bird calls
Handheld camcorder
Gardening kit with a gloves, tools, and a sample of seeds
Ukulele
Electric keyboard
Bongos
Bocce ball set
Spikeball set
And much more!

Stop by the library today to check out an item! These items can be placed on hold at the Chilmark Library.

Technology help by appointment on Thursdays from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Bring your tablet, ereader, computer, phone, or any questions about library technology services. Call the library at 508-645-3360 or email cdrogin@clamsnet.org to reserve an appointment.

Wifi Hotspots are back at the Chilmark Library! Hotspots are available for CLAMS patrons to borrow for two (2) weeks. Hotspots are available first-come, first served with no immediate renewal. Hotspot must be picked up and dropped off at the Chilmark Library.

Join the Chilmark Library as we kickoff the summer reading program, Read Beyond the Beaten Path! Families can register for summer reading, check out new books, play with large bubbles on the patio, enter a raffle, and much more!

The program will be on Saturday July 2nd between 11 AM and 3 PM. If you are registered for summer reading at another library on island, you can still register for summer reading at the Chilmark Library.

Join Caroline on Saturdays at 11 AM for a fun and fantastic story time! This weekly story time is geared towards toddlers and preschoolers. We will sing, dance, and read new stories together.

Brainfuse HelpNow offers personalized academic assistance in core subjects (math, reading, writing, science), a 24/7 Writing Lab, academic content and practice tests for skills-building (including SAT preparation), and much more. Please note that you will need to create a username and password.

We are open for adult and YA (12+) browsing and express services during all regular hours for visits lasting up to 30 minutes. In addition to browsing and checking out adult and YA books and DVD sections, express services include print/fax/copy/scan, hold pick-up, and reference requests.

Masks covering nose and mouth will be required for ages 2+ regardless of vaccination status.

Holds Pickup

Holds will be available for pickup INSIDE during our regular hours. Items are available to pick-up on a cart next to our self-checkout computer. Your items will be labeled with the first 3 letters of your last name and the last 4 digits of your barcode. Bring your library card with you to use the self-checkout. You will receive an email the day your item is ready. Porch pickup will continue by request. Please let us know if you'd prefer to pick up your items outside.
