Dear *|FNAME|*,
Happy Summer!  It's the time of year again when my family and I are fortunate to come home and re-connect with many of you. It is truly our lives' great honor to facilitate this work, and serve as a bridge between you and the passionate and deserving team of majority female youth at Bakashana. Thank you for all the ways that you lift us up and provide opportunity and hope to hundreds of our Zambian brothers, sisters, grandmas, and aunties.
If you have any laptops or phones laying around your home or office, please take a look at the flyer below for more details about how we would love to make them useful again!
Together in service and compassion, the future looks bright.
With a grateful heart,
Two more Bakashana babies are all grown up! Elizabeth and Karen graduated secondary school with your generous support and last month started classes on full Bakashana Scholarship at Northern Technical College. Elizabeth is studying Auto Mechanics and Karen Lab Technician Diploma.
We are so proud of these young women. Karen in particular comes from a very rural place and is the first from her community to graduate secondary school, let alone attend college in pursuit of a technical diploma- all thanks to her sponsor Danielle Mutale Hoffer.
Bakashana hosted a four-day camp themed "Our Bodies, Our Culture, Our Lives". This camp brought together 42 pupils from 15 schools where our 'Girls Leading Our World' and 'Boys for Change' clubs are active. Through art and sport we covered issues like consent, healthy relationships, and barriers to youth access of reproductive health services.
