It's been three long years since we painted at the Exposition Park Rose Garden for the very first time. It was also June. We decided to return before summer officially starts. Many of the bushes are still blooming and you can still feel the intoxicating aroma of the luminous and opulent blooms. It's such a beautiful site. Click here to book your easel station.

There are many kinds of roses at different blooming stages. A wide range of colors organized in rows. The view of the facade of what used to be the art museum is stunning. There is also a large water feature in the center of the garden.
The Exposition Park Rose Garden, built in 1927, is a historic 7-acre sunken garden located in Exposition Park. It has been called "one of the city's best-kept secrets". It was added to the National Register of Historic Paces in 1991.

View of one of our easel stations. Unlike the Huntington's rose garden, access is free, and you can get your easel as close to the roses as you'd like. The garden is also larger than the one at the Huntington.
I'm a 'beginner.' I've never painted with oil. Can I still join?
Yes. Our sessions are paced and guided in a way that allows you to build your painting from beginning to end regardless of your skill level. Whether you are painting for the first time or you have been doing it for years, we break down the steps and provide instructions on how to incorporate the materials to your process.
Do I need to bring any materials?
All of the supplies you may need are provided by us. We paint in oil.
