Roscommon PPN are currently looking for a new Secretariat Member from the Athlone MD
Roscommon Public Participation Network is currently seeking an individual to represent the Athlone Municipal District on the RPPN Secretariat. The primary role of the PPN is to facilitate participation and representation of communities on local decision-making bodies in a fair, equitable and transparent manner. By hosting meetings and providing training opportunities, PPNs also enable volunteer-led groups to connect with like-minded groups locally and to build their own skillsets. The successful nominee would join the eight other individuals currently sitting on the Roscommon PPN Secretariat in overseeing the organisation of these activities. Deadline: 11th July.

Roscommon Community Volunteers
Roscommon Volunteer Centre is piloting the Community Volunteers Programme which provides trained volunteers to support once-off community activities run by voluntary organisations. This can include festivals, parades, environmental clean ups, art shows, sporting events, and more. This summer we supported two family fun days and can support your organisations with community events that you may have planned.

The Community Volunteers Programme is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development along with the Local Authority and is being implemented by all volunteer centres across the country. The programme aims to increase the capacity of charities and non-profit organisations in hosting community events.
