Meningococcal Meningitis Vaccination Algorithm
The Meningitis B Action Project recently published their
Meningococcal Meningitis Vaccination Algorithm. The goal of this resource is to serve as a comprehensive easy-to-reference guide for health care providers to utilize in clinical practice to support appropriate meningococcal vaccine recommendations.
The Project
surveyed 500+ health care providers to better understand barriers to MenB vaccination in clinical practice and learned that complex ACIP recommendations play a crucial role. To help minimize this barrier, we worked with our
Medical Council to create a comprehensive algorithm to help health care providers navigate both MenACWY and MenB vaccination.
How can you use this resource?
The algorithm contains information about MenACWY and MenB vaccine administration including appropriate dosing and intervals, and strategies to support shared clinical decision-making for the MenB vaccine. We encourage you to share this with HCPs in your network. Visit our
