On June 16th, the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience was thrilled to launch its first podcast,
"Transitional Justice in America," a series on how Sites of Conscience can foster dialogue and truth-telling initiatives in their communities to advance racial justice and healing in the United States.
The six-episode series features conversations between three US-based Sites of Conscience focusing on restorative history and racial justice with Sites of Conscience members in Colombia, The Gambia, South Africa, and Sri Lanka - all countries that have or are currently undergoing transitional justice processes.
The fourth episode - out today - features a conversation between Gambian member Fatou Baldeh and Dr. Amber Johnson of the Justice Fleet, a Site of Conscience in Missouri, discussing strategies to include women and other marginalized groups in transitional justice processes. Listen to it, as well as previous episodes, here!
