Employment Law in a Post-Covid World
WRMK Lawyers and NorthChamber invite you to this FREE employment law workshop in Dargaville.
As New Zealanders learn to live with COVID in our communities, employers are facing a fresh set of challenges. Join us as WRMK Lawyers Director and Employment Team Leader David Grindle discusses how to manage some of the latest issues in employment law, including:
- Can (and should) you mandate COVID-19 vaccinations or other policies for your staff under the current government settings?
- How to balance health risks for your staff (and supporting them through their recovery from COVID) vs impact on your business
- What you can do if you think an employee is faking a test result to get time off
- A refresher on employment law basics – these are critical right now as businesses struggle to find and keep staff – such as following a “fair process”, keeping good employment records and the ins and outs of 90-day trials.
There will be time for Q&A and discussion (Chatham House rules) – please feel free to submit questions to melanie.pook@wrmk.co.nz in advance – we know these matters can be sensitive!
