Here I am Lord.

Dear New Life Family,

Here I am Lord. I try to live my life with those four little words in my heart.  I want to be in tune with God, listening to Him and always following the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is not always easy to live this way; it requires faith, obedience and courage. With God’s help we take our next steps forward in faith because we know “without faith it is impossible to please God,” (Hebrews 11:6a).

Esther and I have been listening to God and He has called us once more to take a step of faith. We have both answered, “Here I am Lord”. God has called us and confirmed his calling for us to lead, and pastor a church in the city of Guelph. Therefore, I have given to Pastor Darryl and the Board my letter of resignation. Working with them on the timeline I plan to complete my pastoral ministry at New Life on August 7, 2022.
 
It has been my great joy to serve as the Associate Pastor at New Life Community Church for 11 ½ years. Brampton and New Life Community Church have been such an important part of my life. Brampton is where I grew up, Brampton is where Esther and I met and got married. It was at the former Brampton Pentecostal Church where I was first encouraged to follow God’s calling into Pastoral ministry and now I feel God again calling me to a new step of faith in Ministry.

My New Life family will always hold a special place in my heart. We have shared so many good memories worshiping and serving God together. Through difficult times we have cried and prayed together; and through it all we have experienced the presence of God together. Brampton is my home and you are always my family.

There are too many people to mention by name who have impacted my life profoundly and have helped me take my own next steps with God.  This includes the staff both past and present, the leadership of the church and so many Godly and committed members. Thank you for your love and your ministry to my family and me over the years.

I am so grateful I have had the opportunity to serve with Pastor Darryl for the last six months. I appreciate his leadership and friendship and look forward to continuing our relationship. I am cheering on New Life and believe God has great days ahead for His glory.

In the days a head I hope to have the opportunity to speak with you in person and give God glory for our relationship. I don’t intend to say goodbye to any of you only lets try to stay in touch as we all take our next steps with God.
