The Essex County Free Summer Music Concert Series features a vast selection of artists who will steal the show across Essex County's iconic parks. Performers include New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, The Jersey Tenors, Jukebox Legends & much more!

Connections Matter

July 12th & 14th from 4 pm to 6pm
 

Connections Matter is a healing-centered curriculum that teaches adults how

to use the power of connections to help develop healthy brains and supportive

relationships, prevent and heal from Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs),

and strengthen communities. This training is open to all those in the Faith

Based Community in the Newark area.

Soul Line Dancing

 


Friday, July 8, 2022 from 7:00pm-9:00pm 

Kicking off with WBLS’s Superhero DJ Jon Quick, and legendary instructor Kenny J leading and teaching on the dance floor. We encourage all soul line dancers, gamers, and interested parties to come out for this fun-filled evening of laughs, dance, and fellowship. This event will take place at 
Newark Symphony Hall 1020 Broad Street Newark, NJ 07102

Soul Line Dancing is a free event, but prior registration is required for tickets.

A Black Girl Takeover!

 
Sunday, July 10th from 9:00am-5:00pm

The Black Girl Takeover is a day full of intimate conversations and immersive workshops inspired by the landmark exhibition, Picturing Black Girlhood: Moments of Possibility hosted at Express Newark. Celebrating the world’s largest photography and film show on Black girls, we invite you to participate in this day-long festival that celebrates beauty, care, freedom, play, and joy and engages in image-making, artistic, and wellness practices that are central to Black Girlhood. This event will take place at Express Newark 54 Halsey Street 2nd Floor Newark, NJ 07102
