add voice to the global multi-year Vatican Synod 

The Archdiocese of Seattle submitted its Synod Synthesis Report to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) on June 30, officially concluding the local consultative process of Pope Francis’ global synod. The synthesis report captures feedback from nearly 1,000 online and in-person gatherings since January, involving over 11,000 people across Western Washington. Human Resources

Mileage rate change

The IRS is changing the mileage rate effective July 1, 2022, to 62.5 cents per mile. At the same time, the car allowance for priests will increase to $625/month or $312.50 per paycheck. The Payroll Office will be making this change; it is not necessary for payroll processors to do anything. PAA and pastors will want to make a note of this for budgeting purposes.

PRF interest rates

The Parish Revolving Fund Commission approved an increase in the PRF savings rate from 0.50% to 0.75%, effective July 1. This is in response to the current rising interest rate environment. Interest on loans will remain at 2.0%.
