We see the news everyday. When there's too much water, too little water, or too dirty water, there is catastrophe, but usually also insufficient planning or capacity, inadequate infrastructure, fraud, and bypassed regulation.

New Water Integrity Network strategy 2023- 2033
Thank you to all partners and supporters who responded to interviews and surveys and contributed to shaping our strategy for next year and beyond. We look forward to putting this into action with you all.
Forum for community water committees in Mexico
WIN partner Controla Tu Gobierno coorganised the Encuentro Regional de Comités Autónomos de Agua (ERCAA) with committees from five different states in central Mexico. The committees agreed on strategic actions to get recognition of community water management, and to ensure water sustainability and integrity, as outlined in the ERCAA open letter (in Spanish).
Learning exchanges between youth groups
Youth groups from Bangladesh and Kenya shared experiences on youth parliaments and advocacy for water integrity in an online workshop coorganised by KEWASNET and BAWIN. They discussed the value and need for coalition building, dialogue processes, and policy analysis.
Water organisations using integrity management tools in Latin America
Water service providers and regulators from Paraguay, Mexico, Ecuador, and Honduras developed integrity action plans using Integrity Management tools. They also shared experiences at a regional event in Bolivia with WIN partners IADB and AECID, to introduce integrity management to new service providers.
Asia and the Pacific Water Resilience Hub
WIN is a new partner of the Asia and the Pacific Water Resilience Hub, an open platform dedicated to strengthening water security in the region by establishing partnerships, providing training opportunities, and developing and sharing knowledge and tools.
Water Integrity Risk Index for Peruvian cities
WIN and new partners in Peru (Lima como Vamos) are launching stakeholder surveys for input to a Water Integrity Risk Index measurement for two cities in Peru.
Strengthening ties with the Open Gov community
WIN's Executive Director, Barbara Schreiner will join the Open Government Partnership Steering Committee as civil society representative starting October 1. We are very proud and eager to share water sector expertise while continuing to push for water and sanitation sector commitments.
