Hope you had a lovely weekend and thanks to everyone that attended the very first Welwyn Garden City Vintage Festival!
And what an amazing weekend it was - people came from all over the country and some from abroad but the best by far was to see all the local people and businesses getting involved and enjoying the live music and dancing.
And talking about events, Screen on the Green is back this Summer! There are still a few opportunities (very few) to get involved so please give us a shout if you want to get involved!

Our main sponsorship package to non-bid businesses in £800+ VAT, you can see the breakdown and more explanation in the attached. We do understand that some businesses will want to be the main sponsor so we will be offering this at a BID business discounted rate of £500+VAT - You will get x4 VIP tickets to your sponsored film if you were to take the main sponsorship.
We also have the opportunity to advertise on the big screen for just £175 + VAT
In regards to adverts these will need to be created by your marketing team or in house, we may be able to offer support and help with this if required.

WELWYN GARDEN CITY VINTAGE FESTIVAL - 25 AND 26 JUNE
Thousands of vintage fans from all over the UK, travelled to Welwyn Garden City for one of the biggest FREE vintage music and dance weekend festival line ups, featuring over 100 world class artists, curated by Europe’s leading vintage entertainment provider JiveSwing and Wonderful Welwyn Garden City BID.
During the daytime, 3 Stages across WGC Town Centre, featured some of Europe’s favourite Swing, Jazz, RnB and Rock Roll DJ’s and bands, many of whom have performed for the Queen, TV, Theatres around the globe. You’ll be able to hear swing era classics from Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Sinatra, Andrew Sisters to modern Electro Swing.
Thank you to all the businesses that got involved, the feedback was fantastic and the atmosphere in the town was just incredible

Farewell and Good Luck to Raj and Urvi
After over two decades of service in #WonderfulWGC we are bidding farewell to the amazing Raj and Urvi of Snappy Snaps WGC this week.
They have been an absolute joy to work with and they will be missed in #WonderfulWGC town centre. Thank you for all your hard work and support!

AWARDS ALL ROUND FOR OUR SOLICITORS AT THE HERTFORDSHIRE LAW SOCIETY
Congratulations to Mike Bottomley, from Ewart Price who has recently been awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Hertfordshire Law Society.
This was awarded to him as recognition for his devotion to the law, immense charity work and encouragement of young people who wish to pursue a career in law.
The above photo shows Mike receiving his award at Hatfield House with the President of the Herts Law Society Steve Hamilton and the Vice President Lubna Chuja (and incoming President of the Law Society of England and Wales).
And at the same gala event, Crane & Staples' Wills, Trusts and Probate Solicitor Katie Smits was awarded Junior Lawyer of the Year. This was an extra-special occasion for Crane & Staples, as Katie becomes only the second recipient of this award. The inaugural winner, Georgina Donnellan, is also from Crane & Staples, and, fittingly, accepted the award on Katie’s behalf. These consecutive wins demonstrate the success of Crane & Staples’ renowned training programme for junior lawyers.
