Choosing the Life You're Called to Live Today . . .

How are you being called to live and to make changes in how you currently live?
Maybe some of the changes are being required by circumstances and maybe some of them are because it feels like the right thing to do.
Maybe some are because it's what you really long for and desire even.
And possibly some are because of other people's choices. Maybe it even feels like you're being forced and there's a sense of injustice.

Honoring that the reason we make changes in our lives are diverse and complex, and it can feel like choices are being taken from us recently. From the effects of the pandemic and how our country is making decisions especially concerning our choice as women to decide whether or not to have an abortion it can be scary, confusing, frustrating and put us into a state of overwhelming grief. Of course you're not alone. While I'm pretty sure you've heard that before,  it can be challenging to reach out in the midst of big feelings that we are usually not encouraged to feel in our general American culture.

What I'm suggesting is that we not just reach out to our beloved human community, which is deeply needed and important in times of struggle, that we also reach inward and look around asking for support from our more than human community. If we can broaden our perspective on how we receive support, that maybe we can also expand our sense of choice when we feel like we are between a rock and a hard place figuratively.

That said, receiving also requires giving for their to be sustainable and reciprocal relationships. So how are you giving to the more than human community? How are you choosing to honor the life and gifts of all beings? I am always learning more from my elders and guides and with this new moon we are entering the Choke Cherry Moon from the Anishinaabe perspective (also could be considered the Blueberry or Raspberry Moon). There are so many gifts being given to us this time of year by nature if we take the time to look around and appreciate them. There's also a reminder to honor the ways that our own gifts are coming to fruition and maybe there are some gifts that we haven't appreciated or cultivated that we are needing to leaning into at this time.

We are invited to consider how we can tend to the gifts in our lives that we maybe haven't valued and to give great gratitude. This gratitude expands and deepens our connections and the resilience that we have in the moment and long term. It calms our nervous systems and opens our minds to what else is possible. If you'd like some support to practice living into the life you dream of and know you are called to consider joining us for one of the following opportunities . . .

We will be discovering ourselves a new and creating a space to step into the changes that we want to make in our lives over the next 5 months with the support of loving sisters in community.

We have only a couple weeks left before our first gathering that will be a nourishing day of grounding into ourselves and with the beauty of the land together. During this first gathering, guest teacher Caitlin Ludlow will invite us to commune with our other-than-human relatives, specifically the standing ones (otherwise known as Trees). Through her mindfulness-based nature connection lens, you will leave empowered with a set of resourcing practices & tools to take with you into your backyard or your favorite preserve.

We will also be learning about how to consistently ground ourselves so that we can be curious about our needs and how to fulfill them in loving ways. Part of this will be a restful embodiment journey as well as learning about and practicing compassionate communication to bring into our relationships.
And we will have plant allies guiding us throughout the day into greater nourishment and rootedness. It will be a day full of yumminess! And that's just the first gathering! Many more gems to come throughout the 5 months
