York’s 2022 Schulich Leaders share passion for entrepreneurship

With the help of the Schulich Leader Scholarship program, two graduating high school students from the Greater Toronto Area are headed to York University this fall to begin their studies. Hannah Alli will enter a software engineering program at the Lassonde School of Engineering and Neill Botushanski will join the Faculty of Science’s actuarial science program.

Lassonde alumna wins 2021 Colour Research Society of Canada Student Award

Paria Mehrani, a recent York University graduate and current postdoctoral visitor at the Lassonde School of Engineering, has won the Colour Research Society of Canada 2021 Student Award for Graduate Students. The award recognizes her work while she was a PhD student.

Undergraduate health research conference sparks global interest

Faculty of Health students from the Undergraduate Health Research Exploration project created and hosted York University’s first health-focused undergraduate research conference this spring. The Conference of Undergraduate Health Research was held virtually for 10 hours over two days in May and featured 80 different research papers submitted by students from 14 countries.

Professor Annie Bunting receives Ronald Pipkin Service Award

This year, the Law and Society Association honored 21 scholars, including York University Professor Annie Bunting, as part of its 2022 Annual Awards. Bunting is a professor in the Law & Society program at York University’s Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies.
