Good morning! 

In your Friday Report: Nearly 17,000 Fort Worth ISD students are enrolled in summer school this year, an increase from 2021. The district says the program is no longer just for credit recovery, but also acceleration and enrichment. Education reporter Kristen Barton explores what students are learning in the classroom.

Also, hundreds of people showed up in support of Chandler Crouch at the Tarrant Appraisal District Board of Directors’ meeting but quickly found themselves locked out of the building. Reporter Sandra Sadek recaps the series of events.

Finally, volunteers with the Southside Community Garden built three more raised bed gardens in the 76104 ZIP code Thursday to help give residents access to fresh produce. Photojournalist Cristian ArguetaSoto talks to Kasandra Ewing, one of the three recipients about how the garden will help.
