Week 3: Handling conflicts with friends - Discussions on managing emotions, addressing conflict in a safe friendship & how conflicts can be positive.

We've been working on this for months! One of the gaps in service we've seen, particularly over the past 2 years, is the increase in family conflict & interest in affordable family counselling. While we can't offer this service for free, we have set a flat fee of $100/session. For us, safety is always paramount so our pre-intake process & simply learning about the program is entirely free. We want to make sure this is the right service for you and your family, first and foremost.

'Sticks & stones may break your bones, but words can really hurt for a lifetime'.
Did you know that our youth counselling & child play therapy can be accessed to support young people who have been bullied & are dealing w/ that trauma? Or for those doing the bullying but want to stop hurting others? Seeking help takes courage but can mean all the difference to someone struggling. We can help.
Earlier this month, SAiF's Executive Director was part of the briefing where Minister of Seniors & Housing, Josephine Pon, announced a 5-year strategy for preventing & addressing elder abuse.
“This new strategy guide outlines how we can all work together to help to stop elder abuse before it happens. To begin, we have defined the issue. We consulted with a stakeholder, experts, and service providers, and then asked all Albertans to give their input on what elder abuse actually looks like,” said Pon.
