Hello Steelheaders,
Our summer is here, and the panfish bit is excellent. We have our summer panfish tournament/picnic on July 16th. Please get with Dan Foster to get your entry in 370-3693. The start time is 6 am till 12 noon. The weigh-in is at 12:30 at the boat landing. The entry fee is 10.00 per person, and kids under 16 are free at Portage Lake in Vicksburg. The picnic is following a weigh-in over at the Klines Resort clubhouse.
Please bring a dish to pass, burgers and hot dogs drinks provided. We hope to have around 35 plus people this year.
Our next tournament will be the Lake Michigan Memorial on Aug 6th at South Haven Riverbend Boat Club. Dave Middleton and Dan Foster host the tournament; call Dave to get signed up at 744-7270.
We don’t have regular meetings in July and August, so please try to make the picnic and do some fish talking. I would like you to please post some of the great catches on the water.

Hello, Steelheaders gag order on the negotiations but did learn that more gill net operations in Lake Superior and Lake Huron down to Rogers City may be given to the Tribes, but Lake Michigan remains safe. Still in Negotiations, will know more in 2 to 3 weeks.

I just wanted to say a great Connie Mcgowan Tournament. I had three generations fishing on my boat, my son, two grandsons, and myself—three generations of Steelheaders.
