This painting is an expression of surrender to the downpour life so generously accompanies to living with your head in the clouds at times. I’m quite a daydreamer and get lost in my own thoughts, or even imaginative painted worlds. The ‘reality-check’ often hits like a monsoon, and one has to kind of go-with-the-flow in order to make it through, right?
This artwork was inspired by an image I came across in the epic Australian ‘White Horses’ surfing magazine. The original painting was snatched up soon after completion but there are stunning print versions available on canvas or paper below.
Birds are widely regarded as symbols of freedom and eternity due to their ability to soar into the skies. I personally adore their comical nature and intrinsic colourful beauty.
These are original watercolour collages, where the birds are cut and pasted onto the background, which adds a bit of relief to the artwork. They’re professionally framed and the shipping is included in RSA.
