Koorunga CWA Yarning Circle
On Friday 24 June, Koorunga CWA hosted a Yarning Circle at the Granville Civic Centre. Approximately 120 community members attended the event, including women, men and small children and it was a great opportunity to meet Yued Elder Margaret Drayton and hear the knowledge of our town and surrounding areas.
The event started with a Welcome to Country Smoking Ceremony and throughout the day Margaret shared her extensive knowledge of the Yued country, whilst guests painted and weaved their own stories.
it was a beautiful day organised by Koorunga CWA and the Shire thanks them for providing this event to the community.
