July Activity Recap

Wondering why our July newsletter is so late? It's because we had a very busy month! We kicked things off with an open house at our office in the historic train station in Athabasca on July 1st, and manned a display table at the River Rats festival on July 2nd. Our Communications, Education, and Community Engagement Committee met on July 5th to discuss the AWC's key messages and communications goals. On July 6th, Education and Outreach Coordinator Ashley Johnson and Board Member Brian Deheer went to Lac La Biche at the invitation of Inside Education to deliver a presentation to a group of teachers. Ashley completed the Cows and Fish 'Riparian Assessment and Plant Identification Training' in Grande Prairie on July 13th and 14th, then drove to Jasper to participate in Parks Day on July 16th. She also completed the field portion of her CABIN training program in Pincher Creek this July!
