The events in the past two weeks reflect the seriousness of the impact of climate change on the ground. To elaborate on events closer to home, a new event summary from the UK’s Met office shows that that the recent heat wave was much more ‘intense and widespread’ than the previous waves in the past. These developments reflect the urgency for the world to act together and to meaningfully engage with one another to prevent the devastating impacts of climate change.
