Applications are now open!
Harnessing Penn pride to help nonprofits thrive.

PennPAC is accepting applications from new & returning volunteers until August 14th!

We are now recruiting alumni volunteers for fall 2022 consulting projects in New York City. Graduates from all University of Pennsylvania schools, regardless of professional background, are encouraged to apply (nonprofit or consulting experience is not required). Project teams include busy professionals as well as those not currently in the workforce. Ready to make a BIG difference?

PennPAC has many opportunities:
  • Consulting Engagement Leadership — serve as a Project Co-Leader. PennPAC leaders work closely together to oversee the successful completion of the project. They spend an average of 4-5 hours/week over the course of approximately 10-12 weeks.
  • Project Team Consultant PennPAC consultants round out our project teams and help nonprofits solve organizational challenges. There are generally four consultants on each term who volunteer 3-4 hours/week over the course of 8-10 weeks.
  • Core — Our Core members support the internal capacity and operations of PennPAC. Our Core offers several non-client facing roles.
This fall, PennPAC will work on 4 consulting engagements, 2 mini-projects, and assemble a team to assist us with redesigning our website.  Learn more about our fall 2022 projects.

Submit a volunteer application by August 14th. Returning volunteers should submit the Application for Prior Applicants, while new volunteers should click the below button to access the New Volunteer Application.  A member of our Volunteer Relations Team will be in touch to discuss your application and project preferences.

Project members are expected to participate in weekly team meetings as well as 3 client meetings (2 for mini projects).  We expect that the kickoff and final meetings with the client will be in-person; the internal team meetings and the midterm client meeting will be via videoconference.  This may shift depending on the particular client as well as public health recommendations.

We encourage everyone interested in PennPAC to apply.  We do give priority in staffing to those alumni based in the same city as the client.
PennPAC brings together Penn alumni to provide pro bono consulting services to nonprofits. Our mission is to harness the intellectual talents and professional skills of alumni of the University of Pennsylvania in a meaningful and socially beneficial way. While PennPAC volunteers are alumni of the University of Pennsylvania, PennPAC, Inc. is a separately incorporated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, not controlled in any way by the University of Pennsylvania.
