Please mark your calendars for next week, Monday, July 11!
In our continued effort to make sure you know what the heck is going on in Provincetown, we are hosting another zoom presentation next Monday. As you may recall from our last newsletter, the Local Comprehensive Planning Committee presented the Draft Local Comprehensive Plan (LCP) to the Select Board. The LCP is the report of what the Town looks like now and what is the plan going forward. The current draft plan is chock full of information including assessment of resources and issues as well as projections for the future. Here is the Town website with a link to the draft 2022 plan.
Ginny Binder, the Chair of the LCPC, is looking for comments/suggestions from Part-Timers. She will Zoom with us on Monday, July 11 at 6pm. Now is your chance to be heard as the Town plans for the future. So here we go.
When: Monday, July 11 @ 6pm
Where: Zoom
Who: Ginny Binder -- LCPC Chair
What: The Chair will explain the draft LCP & take comments/suggestions
Why: Because the Committee wants to hear from Part-Timers
Without a doubt, the report will take a minute to review. But now is the time to be heard and so convenient with Zoom. Click here to rsvp
Meanwhile, Swim For Life & Paddler Flotilla
Swim For LIfe is just around the corner, Saturday, September 10, @11am. This year, like last year, the swim route will be along the East End shoreline, starting at the Breakwater and Harbor Hotels and ending at the Cannery Wharf Park (across from The Captain's Daughters). PPRTA members have been in past swims -- swimmers, kayakers, and on the shore volunteers. As we approach the 35th Swim For Life, Jay Critchley (Founder/Director of the Swim) has asked if PPRTA would like to form an official team (swimmers, kayakers, volunteers). If interested, please let me know.
And Last: To the Brewery!
Don't forget to meet and greet with your fellow Part-Timers and PPRTA members:
PPRTA is hosting “meet and greets” every Wednesday through the summer.
When: Wednesdays, 7pm-9pm
Where: The Provincetown Brewing Co. (141 Bradford Street)
Why: Because it is fun. Meet your fellow Part-Timers.
Sponsored by PPRTA and hosted by The Provinctown Brewing Company.
