It is with a heavy heart that I write this to you. Our SHPE Familia has a huge loss at this time.
Rod Garcia was one of the original founders of SHPE; back in 1974 he and a group of courageous engineers saw a better future.
Descanse en Paz; Rod Garcia.
He passed away Saturday 2, July 2022.
Funeral services will be announced when we are made aware of them.
The way to continue honoring his legacy is: FAMILIA, EDUCATION, SERVICE, RESILIENCE
I might also add ENTREPRENEURSHPE.
Rod, in his recent years continuously advocated and pushed every engineer to think about doing a side hustle. Expand your horizons and your earnings by working for yourself outside of the 9-5 template!!!
We will miss you Señor Rod Garcia!! May SHPE Continue honoring your legacy!!
