The latest episode of the 'Beaconites!' podcast, 'Talking Trash (And Composting) with Amber Grant,' is an interview with our former City Councilperson and incredible champion for composting in Beacon.

Composting is a great way to reduce the waste burned at the county incinerator, which can result in the release of harmful chemicals and pollutants. The 6-month 'Beacon Composts' pilot program is running from April 14th – October 15th. Apart from recycling your food scraps, AKA composting, another way to shrink our collective waste stream is to shop at a refill store to help avoid single-use products, while saving money in the long run.
