Priority Deadline for Questionnaires is Tonight at 11:59 PM CST

The Houston LGBTQ+ Political Caucus is accepting questionnaires and screening candidates for the 2022 General Election.
The priority deadline is today, Friday, June 24 at 11:59 PM CST. If you submit your questionnaire by the priority deadline date, you will be guaranteed a screening.
The final deadline for accepting questionnaires for a screening will be July 8. Our Primary Election Endorsement meeting will be held on August 13. If you have any questions about the screening/endorsement process, please contact screenings@thecaucus.org.
Please download and fill out the questionnaire that corresponds to the office that you are running for. You can download the questionnaire from our PAC website.
If you have questions as to which questionnaire is appropriate, please email screenings@thecaucus.org.

Register for July 6 Membership Meeting
|

|
Due to the increase in COVID cases, the Board decided earlier this week to move back to virtual meeting format, indefinitely.
This is a friendly reminder that our June monthly membership meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 6 at 7 PM on Zoom. We're asking you to register for the meeting here.
As we are voting on Board, this will be a closed meeting and only voting members may attend.
To attend, you must:
- Register by Tuesday, July 5 at 11:59 PM CST in order to give our all-volunteer team time to verify your membership and voting eligibility.
- Be eligible to vote at the meeting. In order to be eligible to vote at the meeting, you must have become a member by June 6 at 11:59 PM CST per Article 4 Section 1 of our Bylaws.

Saving Your Meeting Link
Many members double or triple register for meetings for a variety of reasons. This places an undue burden on our all-volunteer team during the credentialing process. Please be sure you:
- Check your Spam/Junk folder for your Zoom link before emailing.
- Have registered with the name and email we have in our membership records. Registering with a different name or email will delay registration or result in rejection.
- Save your meeting link in your calendar. Zoom has options to save to Calendar.ics (Apple), Google Calendar, or Yahoo Calendar when it sends you your link (see below). You can also copy and paste the link into a calendar appointment you create. We highly recommend doing this to avoid lost links.

Candidate Screener Training on June 29

If you would like to become a Candidate Screener for the Screening Committee for the Houston LGBTQ+ Political Caucus, you must attend a Candidate Screener Training. After you have completed the training, you will be certified to participate in screenings for the next year.
Our next Candidate Screener Training will be Wednesday, June 29 at 6PM via Zoom.

Families with Pride is TOMORROW
|

|
Join The Caucus at Council Member Abbie Kamin's Families with Pride event TOMORROW, June 25 from 9 AM - 1 PM! The event will be held at Levy Park (3801 Eastside St), and will be a free celebration of Pride for families! The Caucus will be there doing voter registration, and other activities will include music, story time, face painting, and more!
