City Plans Annual Independence Day Celebration
Live music, food and beverage vendors, and a spectacular fireworks show are planned for Monday, July 4 on the lawn of Dow Diamond.
Absentee Ballots Mailing Soon for August 2 Primary Election
Registered voters whom have requested an absentee ballot via application to the City Clerk's office will begin receiving them the last week of June.
Touch A Truck Returns to the Library July 21
After a two-year "no touch" vehicle parade, the annual event returns to the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library parking lot for hands-on fun.
MCTV Network Offices Closed June 27 - July 5
The office will be closed for staff to attend the Alliance for Community Media conference, followed by closures for the Independence Day holiday.
Summer 2022 Property Tax Bills Mailing Soon
City property owners will receive their Summer 2022 property tax bills via a beige-colored postcard by mail in early July.
Plymouth Pool to Offer Adult-Only Swim on Saturday Morning
Adults ages 18+ can visit Plymouth Pool for an adult-only quiet swim time from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. every Saturday morning.
Waldo Avenue Closed for Reconstruction through October
Waldo is now closed to northbound traffic from Bay City Road to James Savage Road for reconstruction. One lane of southbound traffic remains open.
City Offices, Services Closed for Independence Day
City offices and non-emergency services will be closed on Monday, July 4. Refuse and Monday Week 1 recycling will be collected Tuesday, July 5.

What's Up in the City! Planning: Zoning Amendment for Childcare
At the June 14 Planning Commission meeting, the Commission approved a zoning text amendment to allow for childcare centers in community-zoned areas.

Pine Street Reconstruction and Water Main Replacement
Pine Street closed from Rodd to George.
Estimated completion date: August 31, 2022

North Street Reconstruction and Water Main Replacement
North Street closed from George to Jefferson.
Estimated completion date: August 31, 2022

Soccer Drive Water Main Installation
Soccer Drive closed for westbound traffic from Jefferson to Diamond. Eastbound traffic maintained on Soccer Drive for access to Midland Soccer Complex.
Estimated completion date: September 30, 2022

Waldo Avenue Reconstruction
Waldo closed to northbound traffic from Bay City Rd to James Savage Rd. One lane of southbond traffic maintained on Waldo throughout project.
Estimated completion date: October 15, 2022
