Cellist Ryan Mitten will be here to play a family friendly acoustic show featuring Broadway and movie favorites. Music lovers of any age will appreciate his versatility. He plays what you might expect to hear played on a cello (think: Bach and Mozart), but encourages his audience to think bigger. He transports listeners to Hogwarts with the Harry Potter soundtrack then sends them to a galaxy far, far away with recognizable Star Wars repertoire. Be sure to take advantage of his routine offer after for “any requests” (and improvisational skills on the cello). He conjures almost any kind of folk music (bluegrass, Irish, country, the list goes on) and ties it all together with early 20th century sing-along ditties.

This program is for all ages. No sign up required.

Ryan Mitten is a cellist and special education professor who also plays mandolin, guitar, banjo and piano. He is a member of the Pleasantville based folk band Nannyhagan Creek, and a mandolin strumming Living History Interpreter at the Mark Twain House and Museum.

The library now has a puzzle exchange! Bring a puzzle to take a puzzle.
We welcome puzzles for all ages. This is a great way to swap out all of those puzzles you've already completed, that are sitting in a pile in your closet and taking up space!!
The puzzle exchange is located inside the main library, through the 'Reference' doorway, and a quick turn to the right! The puzzles are on the shelf across from the card catalog computer and below the audiobooks!
Your library card gives you access to a ton of digital content, from many different sources; Ancestry, Coursera, Creativebug, DaybyDayNY, DigitalLearn, Hoopla, Mango, NY DMV Practice Tests, Niche Academy, Overdrive, Tumble Books, and Universal Class.
You'll find all of the above listed on our web page, under our E-Resources tab!
