Update: Tuesday 28th June 2022
Dear brothers and sisters
Apologies, this update got stuck half-sent on Saturday, so I'm sending it now because one of the notices will be out of date soon. This Sunday is the first Sunday of the month, so we will have a 6 pm service (Communion following the Book of Common Prayer) as well as a 10:45 service continuing our series in Acts.
Ian and Jan were able to visit Isoline Isolene last Sunday, and she says, "Thank you everyone for the lovely flowers and card for my 100th birthday, love Isoline"
Bridgemead (a Christian residential/nursing home in Bath) is holding a 30th Anniversary Garden Party this Saturday (2nd July). They say:
"Come and spend the afternoon in a delightful 4 acre garden in Bath, rarely open to the public and dwell in the orchard, wander through the amazing pergola and on to the lake.
- Complimentary glass of Pimms and canapes
- Tea, coffee and cake
- Pay bar
- Jazz band
- Plant and cake sale
There will be an exhibition about the home’s activities and our plans for flood resilience. This is our main fundraising event of the year. Support us while enjoying a stimulating afternoon in the summer sunshine."
Tickets are £40 and can be booked online (https://www.bridgecare.org.uk/gardenparty/) or over the phone (01225 484904).
Many of you will know Peter Hunt, who has been coming to St Nick's for about 18 months. He is in need of accommodation for next year, and would very much like to be in the Bathampton area so that he can continue to be part of our church family. If you know of any rooms/properties that might be available for rent, please let him know (which you can do by talking to him at church or by replying to this email).
Thanks to everyone who made sure that the visit of the Governor of New South Wales was so successful last week - cleaning, flowers, coffee, music, and many more jobs were done well to make sure the church was shown in the best possible light.
God bless you,
Anna Young
